Post Week 36 Image of the Week (Sept 1st -Sept 7th)
Hi all,

Sorry this is a day late, many , many posts to go through this week with plenty of people out and about and a real diverse collection of images showing the high quality of photographers on this site!

1st place this week goes to Almighty for his image in the thread 2/09/14 Cad West - Beware the flying Ants ! What can you say about this image apart from Wow! to go as low as 1/160th on a Front liner is brave to say the least, then to make it pin sharp deserves IOTW

2nd place goes toNeilB for his image in the thread Exit 03-09-14 What a cracking image showing off the merlin doing what it does best and showcasing our hobby to a tee!

Third place goes to akita for his image in the thread Grizzlies at Knight Inlet, Vancouver BC you would swear this shot is posed for with the bear looking pretty pleased with himself! Great capture!

Well done to all posters this week far to many for special mentions  Drinks or Beer

Grab that IOTW Avatar well deserved!

I don't know who was braver, shooting a typhoon at 1/125th or getting that close to a grizzly bear !.

Two great shots & I'm really chuffed to get second.

Cheers

Wow Guy's, thank you all very much. Made my day/week !

It was a bit of a gamble I have to admit, shooting that slow, but happy it paid off in the end. The pilot - Razor 31 contacted me to show his appreciation, just after I posted them.

I did shoot a Herc some months ago from East at 1/60th, just to see if I could push the boundaries even further. 1 in every 4 came out sharp, so it can be done, hence me trying it out on something a hell of a lot faster.

Many thanks and congratulations to the runners up. You are all worthy winners in my book.

Cheers

Simon

PS... Now I can really boast, because it was shot at 1/125 and not as stated 1/160.
