Post Just to annoy Walter. Some oldies from the S-M.
It's been pretty grim spotting in the S-M this year, and Walter has often said he's come late to the hobby and missed all the good years. I've been joking about putting up some old stuff just to show him what he's missed. I came across an old folder with LL stuff in it, that I put together for a talk at the camera club. This is fairly old stuff, taken on a canon 350, and the quality isn't that good, but I can't miss the opperchancity to show Walter what we got in "The Good Years". All taken in the S-M except the F3 which was at the Small Glen.

What a post Danny but I’m not in the slightest bit green……well maybe!   Bullocks
Harriers and Jags through the Moffat must have been fantastic.

Ross your pics are also fantastic, especially the F-16 from Bowerhope.

Happy days,

Walter

What a supurb post !!. Really wish I’d got to see a Jaguar low level, I can only imagine what it was like back in the days of f-111, F-4’s buccaneers, hunters etc....

Cheers

Op went well Ross. Thanks for adding your pics to the thread. You were lucky with F3's, it was a rare day I got any in the valley. Funnily enough, Harriers were not all that common, but I seem to have a fair few in the post, but overall going way back, to the days of slides, Jags were more common. Pre 1995 most of the traffic in here was RAF Germany aircraft, and up until then I had only had 23 blanks in total in the valley, but around 95/96 I got more than that in one year, that's when the rot started to set in. The situation this year has been pretty dire for movements, and I dread to think what will happen when the Tornados go.

Hope you liked them Walter.

Good to hear it went well Danny!
Yeah only managed to get landlocked F3`s on 3 occasions in the Valley and 1 of them was from Warton,Harriers did seem to elude me once I became competent at low level having seen
them on I think about my first 4 or 5 outings when we still had 1/3/4/20sqn around but those shots really are an embarrassment to look at Bullocks

As you say RAFG must have killed the Moffat back in the day but sadly I spent to much time at Leuchars back then not even thinking about doing low level,ah well at least
I got into it in time to catch Jags and Harriers and as you say once the Tornado goes it will be over in there I think other than the odd Hercs.
