Post Philip Dalglish
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that my very dear friend and Fox2 regular, Philip Dalglish, passed away on Monday 14th September 2015 after a short illness.

Although Phil did not frequent the hills much in the last couple of years, I know that he kept a keen eye on goings on in the loop via Fox2. Many of the 'old timers' here will no doubt have known Phil personally. I got to know Phil through the low fly community and we became great friends, enjoying many a landscape photography trip to Wales, Sussex, Yorkshire and especially the Lake District. Quite a few of the images on Phil's flickr page (https://www.flickr.com/photos/phild_images/) were taken during those trips.

I will miss him greatly.

The funeral is to be held at Walton Lea Crematorium in Warrington on Thursday 24 September 2015 at 16:20. Everyone is welcome and the family would also welcome floral tributes and/or a donation in Phil's memory to Martin Mere Wetland Centre where Phil loved to go birdwatching (http://www.wwt.org.uk/support/gifts-in-memory/).

If you are unable to attend the funeral, but would like to send flowers, they should be delivered to Maddocks Funeral Directors, 73 London Road, Warrington, WA4 6SG,
by 10am on Thursday 24th September 2015. Messages of condolence can be PM'd to me and i will ensure they are passed on to Phil's family.

Rest in peace my friend.

All the best

Pete

Sad News, my deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

I never met him, though all his posts brought a smile to my face because of his wonderful avatar of the Great Grey Shrike.

Enjoyed many drinks with Phil in the Bunkhouse after long summers days on the hills. Always enjoyed seeing his landscape images and he never seemed to have a bad word to say about anybody. Thoughts go out to you Pete and all his family. Sad news indeed.

So sad to hear of Phils passing. Over the years I have bumped into him around the loop  I think three or four times. Always came over as a very decent bloke and as has been mentioned, turned out some very nice landscapes too.  My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

I met Phil on the Bwlch - on unknown to me RAF Valley Day back in August 2009.
A very nice person who helped pass away the many hours with his humour, while we waited for a blank-busting GR4.
So sad to hear this news - and my thoughts go out to his family.
Regards Vernon.
